Sponsored by Macau Youth Ecotourism Society, with support from the China International Cultural Communication Centre and the China Charity Project Committee, 2013 China Miss Ecotourism Pageant finals were held at Zhuhai on 7th Nov. 2013. Bao Qi from Shanghai, Li Beixi from Jujian and Xie Xiaodan from Shanghai stood fierce competition and won first to third prize respectively. CICCC Executive Chairman and concurrent Chairman of the China Charity Project Committee Long Yuxiang attended the event and gave out prizes to the winners.

2013 China Miss Ecotourism Pageant was for the purpose of promoting tourist culture, sharing tourist resources and raise awareness of environmental protecting in a bid to accelerate the harmonious coexistence and development of man and nature. On behalf of the CICCC and CCPC, Art director Zhang Songyin delivered a speech at the scene, saying that eco-civilization concerns the well-being of the people and sustainable development of the nation. We have to improve our knowledge and awareness of eco-civilization, continuously enhance the building of eco-civilization in order to secure a beautiful homeland with blue sky, green land and clean water and make china a promising land for the Chinese people and an ideal tourist destination for the world. China Miss Ecotourism Pageant ought to insist on this message to make it harmonious, green, environmentally friendly and healthy. Through displaying the positive and sound beauty of the young women, we wish to call on society to pay close attention to environment protection, to emphasize the importance of eco-construction, green, low-carbon and energy-saving life style and make positive contribution to the development of our tourist culture.

The pageant was carried out with justice, openness and fairness. Excellent representatives were chosen through it to be image ambassadors for ecotourism. They will participate in promoting tourist cultures with local characteristics, advocate eco-civilization, green and low-carbon conceptions. A series of charity activities have also been carried out by the organizing committee at the scene to mobilize philanthropic persons to make contribution to people at old revolutionary base, minority-inhabited, frontier and poverty-stricken areas.

CICCC Art director Sheng Hetai, the South China Liaison Office executive officer Cai Duowen, Fujian Liaison Office executive director-general Lu Jianghui, chairman of the Foundation from Macau Wu Zhiliang, chairman of Macau Youth Ecotourism Society Huang Xiaoling attended the event and gave out prizes to winners.
