Jin Taixi talked enthusiastically about the geologically and psychologically firm and close ties between China and North Korea. “The friendship forged and cultivated by revolutionists of last two generations is now deeply rooted in people’s heart of two sides. From the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two, non-governmental organizations of two nations brought the initiative of the advantages of people-to-people diplomacy into full play, actively devoted themselves to the cause of building up and maintaining a close relationship with each other. During last decades, they had contributed considerably to the consolidation of the relationship. Mutual exchanges and cooperation have been hugely accelerated. The diplomatic ties has been greatly strengthened. Delegation from the CICCC should have come earlier, I am deeply regretted about this.” Long Yuxiang said in the meeting, that “The friendship between our two peoples goes back to ancient times. The older generations of two nations withstood the test of blood and fire, finally realized the great Sino-Korean friendship. In the past six decades, both sides stood up to various tests against a backdrop of permanently changeable regional and international circumstances. The relationship showed great vitality over time. The enduring friendship between people of two nations is the most precious treasure we have. We will further increase exchanges in the fields of culture, sports, technology as well as education. And we will further enrich and develop friendly cooperation between people and communities, safeguard collective interest, while maintaining political communication between the two. In so doing, we hope to lay a solider foundation of Sino-Korean friendship for future generations to enjoy and exploit and inject strong motive power to the sustainable development of the friendship.
